Volunteers help landscape our Nut Walk area
Big thanks to volunteers from Knight Harwood, a construction and engineering company, who recently spent a day volunteering at St Philip’s. Three members of a team from one of their central London projects got involved in providing outdoor landscaping support, and helped to enhance our Nut Walk area. The volunteers – Brady, Jordan and Ethan – worked diligently to provide practical support to improve our physical environment.
As a school we value our outdoor spaces and are committed to creating engaging spaces that enhance our pupils’ educational experience. The team’s efforts have helped create a more welcoming and enjoyable outdoor space for pupils to explore and learn in and is a great example of teamwork.
Ben Walsh, principal, wrote to the company to express his heartfelt gratitude for the support, “Your team’s generous contribution to help landscape our ‘Nut Walk’ area has been excellent for our outdoor learning environment. The collaborative effort demonstrates the wonderful relationship between our school and the local business community. Your practical support not only improves our physical environment but also provides a powerful example of community engagement for our pupils, many of whom are interested in careers in construction.”
We are very grateful for their time, expertise and commitment. It is already having a really positive impact on our school and will benefit our school community for years to come.
