Supporting our community

As part of an enterprise project, Post-16 students have been selling delicious freshly cooked meals to the staff team. This term, they made a profit of £110! The group even adapted their business model to fit with current restrictions, offering a take-away service.

The students decided to use their profits to give something back to their community. They researched different organisations and found Sutton Night Watch, a charity supporting homeless people.

The students presented over 20 hampers which they had shopped for and packaged themselves. The hampers were delivered to the organisation for distributing to homeless people in London. We’re so proud of our students for deciding to invest their earnings in others, particularly during these difficult times.

Students develop very high levels of positive behaviour and feel extremely safe. They are very considerate, very respectful and caring of others and highly positive about learning.
