St Paul’s Cathedral Trip

By Fiona Wilkins - March 27th, 2026 | Posted in Article

As part of our learning about the history of London and the Christian faith, Acorn class visited St Paul’s Cathedral.  We walked around the local area and noticed the houses were very close together and discussed how this would have helped the fire spread during the Great Fire of London.

The pupils enjoyed exploring the cathedral, lighting candles and looking at the artwork in the cathedral.  Finally, we walked back to the train station over the Millenium Bridge and saw Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe and Tate Modern.

It was a great opportunity to add context to our history and RE lessons this term.
