Reading boost from Every Cherry Publishing
We were delighted to welcome Emma Steel and her colleague Rosie from Every Cherry Publishing House into school. Every Cherry is an award-winning imprint of Sweet Cherry Publishing and aims to bring high quality reading material to people with a range of learning disabilities and make reading accessible.
They ran workshops with some of the students at St Philip’s and were so positive about the knowledge and response they received from the groups they worked with. Students enjoyed seeing how a book is put together and were excited to hear about the range of books catering for different needs. For example they publish books with easier language, as well as symbolised books and stories for your senses.
