Leavers Celebration and Prom

Our Leavers Celebration event was a very special evening as we paid tribute to students in Year 11 and Post-16 who will be leaving St Philip’s this summer. Many of the students joined the school in Year 7 and an audience of family, friends and supporters listened to tributes paid to each individual student.

Every leaver had asked a member of staff to be their sponsor and joined them on stage as they recalled memorable moments of the young person’s time at St Philip’s and their future aspirations. The school also presented every student with a Leavers book and hoodie.

One of the students who is staying at St Philip’s in Post-16, Ruth, spoke on behalf of the students and thanked the staff and school for all that they had done.

After the formal awards ceremony the young people were invited to walk down the red carpet into the marquee on the school field for their Prom.

It was a truly lovely event celebrating our 2024 leavers. Good luck to you all!
