International Peace Day
On September 21st pupils and staff at St Philip’s joined with thousands of other schools and organisations to mark International Peace Day.
This year we remembered all of those who have been forced to leave Afghanistan or are still living in the country under the rule of the Taliban. As a school we have pupils and staff who have fled Afghanistan so this is an important and personal issue for our school family.
Linking with Afghanistan’s rich cultural history of kite flying, pupils made kites which we then flew for the last half hour of the day on the school field.
