Immersive Storytelling with Curiosity Chest Show
Students enjoyed the Curiosity Chest Show, an immersive storytelling experience. Through a live, interactive performance, students had the chance to unlock their imagination and go on a voyage of discovery.
The workshop began with the appearance of a mysterious chest, believed to be the long-lost curiosity chest of 19th century explorer Frances Ann Potts. Weathered but intact, the chest is filled with strange artefacts from time-travelling watches to Krobo beads and bottled scents from lost worlds.
Students followed in the footsteps of Frances Ann with the help of Collectors who prompted them to uncover the chest’s secrets through drama and sensory exploration.
As well as encouraging creative thinking, the workshop offered new perspectives on history and cultural understanding. Students were enthralled by the artefacts that emerged from the chest and enjoyed the chance to develop communication skills using voice and movement.
