Cultural Celebration Day 2026

By Fiona Wilkins - July 8th, 2026 | Posted in Article

On Friday 3rd July we held a Cultural Celebration Day.  Initiated by our Inclusion and Diversity Committee the day celebrated the variety of cultures within our school community.

Linking with the World Cup classes chose countries and then set up stalls linked to their countries.  There was an enormous variety of stalls and activities for pupils to explore, including; objects and clothes from Cote d’Ivoire, food from the Middle East, Ice Hocket shoot out from Canada, Impressionist painting from France, Origami from Japan and fruit tasting from around the world.

We welcomed two visitors to the school as part of the day; Jakob from Inspire Works led Samba Drumming workshops and Miss Ahmad was busy throughout the day providing Henna.

The day included an England stall where pupils could try scones, play table tennis and look through the display on what staff loved about England.
