Another successful Alumni event
St Philip’s hosted the annual alumni event on Tuesday 28th June 2023 and welcomed former St Philip’s students from as far back as 7 years ago. Once again, the event was well attended, and ex-students enjoyed some light refreshments and a chance to catch up with old friends.
Events such as these also help staff to understand what is working well for young people when they leave and what areas they need more support in, this in turn helps us shape our curriculum and ensure we are giving young people accurate advice and guidance. It was really pleasing to see that everyone in attendance is either still at college or in paid employment.
The range of colleges that our young people are successfully accessing include: Nescot, Merton, Kingston, Richmond, Brooklands, Orchard Hill, Xavier Centre and Merrist Wood College.
Those who attended and are in paid employment are working in sectors such as catering, hospitality, retail, security, leisure, and manual labour.
