A group of keen cricketers from St Philip’s enjoyed taking part in the Lord’s Taverners first Super 1’s competition of the year!

The Super 1’s programme offers participants between the ages of 11-25 years old the chance to play regular disability cricket throughout the year in their local boroughs.

The format of the day was pairs cricket which enabled all 8 players on each team to have the chance to bat and bowl in the Ken Barrington Indoor Centre at The Kia Oval. Four boroughs from Surrey were involved with Croydon, Southwark, Kingston and Wandsworth all taking part in what was an action packed day of cricket.

After a league stage, Kingston (our team) and Southwark played off in a final which saw us come out on top!

We had a fantastic time at the event and look froward to taking part in more tournaments.
