Build to Learn Lego Workshop

During History lessons the Primary department at St Philip’s have been learning about ‘Explorers’.  Alongside Ibn Buttata and Jeanne Barrett we learnt about Ernest Shackleton.

To introduce us to Ernest Shackleton and his journey in Antarctica we welcomed Jamie from Build to Learn to deliver a workshop.  The pupils were fascinated to hear about his ship Endeavour becoming stuck in the ice and then the dramatic rescue and survival of his crew.

The highlight of the workshop was using Lego to recreate the Endeavour ship.  We would like to thank the Rotary Club for donating funds that enabled us to have this workshop.
